Flexible pipe PE-4710

It is a PE 4710 high density bimodal high density polyethylene (HDPE) pipeline designed for the collection of gas, raw water, salt water, coal bed methane, landfill methane and leachate. It has superior hardness and strength to the harsh environments found in these demanding applications.

• ASTM F2619 standard specification for high density polyethylene (PE) pipe
• API 15LE specification for polyethylene (PE) pipe.
• Cellular classification PE445547C according to ASTM D3350
• Institute of plastic pipes (PPI) TR-4 as PE4710 (also complies with PE3408 according to D3350-02a)
• Hydrostatic design base 1,600 psi at 73 ° F (23 ° C) and 1,000 psi at 140 ° F according to ASTM D2837
• UV and color stabilizer: (C) Black with 2% min black smoke according to ASTM D3350
• Heat fusion procedure according to ASTM F2620, and PPI TR-33 and TR-41
• Installation is recommended to follow the ppi manual of polyethylene pipe, 2nd Ed.
• Leak tests should be performed in accordance with ASTM F2164, "Standard Practice for Field Leak
Testing of Polyethylene (PE) and Cross-Linked Polyethylene (PEX) Pressure Pipe Systems that Use Hydrostatic Pressure". The appropriate safety considerations should always be followed.




Benefits for water applications:

• HDPE pipe can be fused by heat to form a joint that is as strong or stronger than the pipe itself and that does not leak.
• The life cycle cost of the HDPE pipe differs from other pipe materials because the "allowable water leak" is zero instead of the typical leakage rates of 10 to 20% for PVC and ductile iron.
• Molten joints for HDPE pipes are self-tapping and no expensive thrust restrictions or thrust blocks are required.
• The fused joints of HDPE pipe simply do not leak, eliminating infiltration and exfiltration problems experienced with alternating piping joints.
• The flexibility of the HDPE pressure pipe makes it well suited for dynamic soils, including earthquake prone areas.
• The polyethylene pipe industry estimates that the lifespan of HDPE pipes is conservatively 50-100 years
• HDPE pipe will not corrode, will not transport or protect biological growth
• HDPE pipe has excellent chemical resistance and is the material of choice in aggressive chemical environments.
• Polyethylene pipes can structurally resist better impact than PVC pipes, especially in cold weather installations when other pipes are more prone to cracking and breaking.

Fusion Equipment Rental Rates

1. Rental fees will not apply towards the purchase of fusion equipment.
2. All rentals are portal to portal billing used uniess otherwise agreed upon by Trojan Pipe LLC prior to renting equipment
3. Trojan Pipe LLC Rental Agreement must be signed by company utilizing the rented fusion equipment and returned (if not customer pick-up) prior to shipment of equipment.
